Hey, y’all!
I absolutely love Halloween and was thrilled when two of my clients told me they wanted to go all out with their Halloween party. A little secret, though: while I absolutely LOVE Halloween, I am not a fan of the color orange. I instantly knew I had no intention of including orange in the color palette. Instead, we went with black, red, and white and I couldn’t be more pleased with the final result.
I’m sure you guys already know that I am completely OBSESSED with balloons. One of the features of the party that I loved most was an elaborate balloon installation; I was absolutely in love with it. The installation featured marbled balloons, red roses, and — of course — a lot of black!
We also included a striped backdrop that featured a tiny balloon installation. Think Beetlejuice, here. We sprinkled in a few red roses to bring it all together.
For the Halloween party we featured a variety of various decor elements and included spider webs (everywhere), a real casket with an animatronic inside that sat up and down, several candelabras, a creepy photo wall, and even a blood-covered “little girl”.
The menu for the evening, provided by Dennis Dean Catering, was simply phenomenal. Guests raved about the devilish crab cakes, the goat cheese eyeballs, the twisted forest macaroni and cheese, and the delicious deviled eggs.
The guests had an absolute blast and danced the night away. Many kudos to our DJ, of the fabulous Jammin DJs, who kept the party going until well after 1 AM. It was most certainly a night to remember.
I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas! What was your favorite part about Halloween? What are you looking forward to about the upcoming holidays?
