The Savannah Bee Company was born from Ted Dennard’s love of beekeeping. Originally, the “honey man” slow cooked lip balms using recipes from the 1800s! Now you can order his skin care items and honey online, or visit the company store like I did!
I Love It Because …
Honey has naturally occurring Vitamin E, which is a skin moisturizer and softener. It also contains natural antibacterials. If you buy Savannah Bee Company hand cream or salve, they also include royal jelly and propolis, which have been known to heal skin viruses (and come from the beehives, too!).

It’s located at 104 West Broughton Street, Savannah, Georgia 31401.
Cooking With Honey
Add a healthier bit of sweetness to your Southern-style biscuits or tea, with one of Savannah Bee Company’s artisan honeys!
Try these products that have the Morgan Kelley stamp of approval!
- Lip Balms and Lip Tints: Savannah Bee Company lip balms and lip tints are certified organic and have sheer, buildable color.
- Royal Jelly Body Butter: Royal jelly is reserved to feed the queen. Need I say more?
- Raw Honeycomb: Spread a spoonful of honeycomb on warm, fresh bread, or add it as a decadent topping on banana bread, pancakes, or waffles! It also makes an incredible addition to a charcuterie board. I recommend serving raw honeycomb with blue cheese and apples or pears. If you prefer mild cheeses, try honeycomb with baked brie (here’s my recipe!).
